COURSE DESCRIPTION

Boeing 737 300-900 Type rating program consist of all technical and operational training elements including aircraft performance and weight and balance.

PRE-ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

Applicants for the issue of the first type rating course for a multi-pilot aeroplane shall meet the following requirements:

  • Have at least 70 hours of flight experience as PIC in aeroplane
  • Hold or have held a multi-engine IR(A)
  • Have passed the ATPL(A) theoretical knowledge examinations in accordance with this Annex (Part-FCL)
  • Except when the type rating course is combined with an MCC course, a certificate of satisfactory completion of an MCC course is required
  • Have completed Advanced UPRT Course

THEORETICAL KNOWLEDGE

Theoretical Knowledge training consists of minimum 10 training days which can be CBT Instructor-led Training and Classroom Training. It consists of Aircraft Systems, Mass and Balance and Flight Planning including a Final Theoretical Knowledge Examination.

SIMULATOR TRAINING

Simulator Training consists of 32 hours dedicated to aircraft handling in Normal and Abnormal operations. All exercises are completed in a realistic environment allowing the crew to practice Standard Operating Procedures.

Type Rating skill test is a 4 hour session that be performed by an Authorised Examiner.

BASE TRAINING

Base Training is aiming the “transfer of knowledge” from the FFS to the aircraft and to experience for the first time the real aircraft behaviour in basic manoeuvres such as landing, flare, de-rotation.

Base Training consists of six landings including:

  • at least one full-stop landing; and
  • one go-around with all engines operating.

In the case that the pilot has more than 500 hours of MPA experience six landings maybe reduced to four landings.
