COMPLIANCE MANAGMENT TRAINING
An industry specific two-day course designed for those who need to understand the application of the basic principles of Quality Management in an aviation environment.
This is a practical course that aims to provide participants with sufficient knowledge to understand how to develop and implement formal quality management disciplines in response to regulatory requirements. It also provides an overview of how an organisation should take control of and manage internal audit programmes designed to provide the Accountable Manager with the assurance of compliance with regulations and company working practices and designed to provide regulatory authorities with the confidence of an organisation’s self-monitoring process.
The programme is designed for regulatory inspectors but also is of benefit to Accountable Managers, Quality Managers and others who need to have a good understanding of the practical response to regulatory requirements for quality management and auditing processes in relation to the broad range of aviation related activities including flight operations and the associated support activities relating to Ground Handling Agents, Catering etc., maintenance, ATC, and Airport operations.
The course also aims to show the relationship between ‘quality’ and ‘safety’ and how a management system needs to be constructed to effectively integrate the disciplines of both into a single system that will satisfy regulatory requirements and company commercial objectives.
COMPLIANCE AUDITOR COURSE
An industry leading course developed in support of EU aviation regulations requiring industry and Competent Authorities to develop formalized management systems and associated compliance monitoring or oversight processes.
Aviation organizations are required to develop and implement robust management systems that ensure and enhance safety. They are also required to monitor their compliance with these systems in relation to, not only theirown operations, but also activities undertaken by suppliers and contracted agents, and hence require comprehensive and in-depth audits to be undertaken throughout all areas of their operational and support activities. In addition, Competent Authorities are under pressure to implement effective safety regulatory oversight of organisations whilst reducing the cost burden on both industry and the taxpayer.
This course is designed to supplement the standard range of auditor training courses, including ISO 9001 based Lead Auditor training, and sets out to enhance the skills of those managing and undertaking audits in the aviation industry, in particular focusing on team leadership skills. It is provided in support of the Management Systems and Compliance Monitoring requirements of current and future European Legislation relating to the aviation industry, and the desire of organizations to obtain the maximum benefit from auditing in the pro-active pursuit of safety & organizational improvement.
The course is both practical and highly participative and promotes auditing practices that have become the benchmark in the industry. Attendees who sit and pass the formal examination will be issued with a certificate in recognition of their achievement.
An examination is offered on day 5.
