Light Aircraft Pilot’s Licence / LAPL (A)
Duration: 3 Months Minimum
COURSE DESCRIPTION
The privileges of the holder of an LAPL for aeroplanes are to act as PIC on single-engine piston aeroplanes-land with a maximum certificated take-off mass of 2000 kg or less, carrying a maximum of 3 passengers, such that there are always a maximum of 4 persons on board of the aircraft.
GROUND SCHOOL
100hrs of classroom training and self-study on the following subjects:
- Air Law
- Human Performance
- Meteorology
- Communications
- Principles of Flight
- Operational Procedures
- Flight Performance & Planning
- Aircraft General Knowledge
- Navigation
REQUIREMENTS
- Be at least 16 years of age and 17 years of age for the licence issue.
- Hold a valid medical certificate, appropriate to the licence for which training is required, issued in accordance with Part-MED.
FLIGHT TRAINING
30 Hours Minimum Flight Training
- 24 hours dual time
- 6 hours solo time
