The Private Pilot License (PPL) course is the stepping stone towards a career in aviation and is also designed for individuals who have a passion for flying.
This course provides the opportunity to embark on a pilot journey at your own pace. If you always had the dream of flying but not necessarily as a commercial pilot, if you missed the chance for a pilot career earlier and believe that age is not a limiting factor, then the PPL course is perfectly suited for you.
THE PPL (A) COURSE
The course will prepare you to fly and acquire the Private Pilot License. After you acquire a PPL(A) license you will be able to fly a single-engine aircraft under VFR (Visual Flight Rules).
The course is specifically designed to provide you with the necessary knowledge and practical skills to operate and control a private aircraft, allowing you to confidently fly with non-commercial passengers.
WHO IS THIS COURSE FOR?
The PPL course is suitable for those who wish to start a pilot career or those who wish to fly for entertainment purposes.
PPL is the foundation to pilot’s studies. After the completion, you may join the ATPL Modular Course to become a commercial pilot.

Flight Training
- 45 Hours Minimum Flight Training including/
- 35 hours dual time and 10 hours solo time
Entry Requirements
- Be at least 16 years of age and 17 years of age for the license issue*.
- Hold a valid medical certificate, appropriate to the license for which training is required, issued in accordance with Part-MED.
- Proficient level in English language – ELP. LEVEL 4
*Applicants may join the PPL Training not before the age of 16 years old with the written permission of the parent or legal guardian.
Cost of PPL course
The cost of the course is 12,500 Euro plus VAT (if applicable). The course is carried out in Cyprus and the above price includes transportation but not accommodation.

No. PPL does not require to own any certificate or diploma.
No. LAPL(A) certificate is not mandatory.
Yes, LAPL (A) holders can upgrade to PPL.
Yes you may continue your journey to become a professional pilot by joining the Modular ATPL course. Although we recommend joining the Integrated ATPL course-which includes the PPL(A) training module.
The cost of the course is 12.500 Euro (No hidden costs).
Payments can be arranged in installments (Flexible scheduled payments).
Training takes place at CA Crew Academy premises and at Larnaca International Airport.
